Wonderful place, clean, great value. The staff - welcoming and very amenable. New-fashioned deluxe double room with coffee facilities, towels provided, for example. Incredible, amazing location in the lovely area.

Staying at coundon lodge was such a delight! The calm outside were perfect for a restful 2 nights while attending the godiver festival nearby. My niece loved the informal vibe, and brian's friendly service. He even drove us into the city, a huge bonus! Looking forward to seeing how the beautiful hotel evolves.

spacious apartment, fantastic views, nice gardens
The heating system is ridiculously loud at night!!! A loose dog wandering around the hotel makes for an uncomfortable environment!!! The place could definitely benefit from some updates!!!

Charming décor and peaceful atmosphere.
My experience was marred by a lack of communication upon check-in. I arrived to a dark and silent entrance, ringing the bell multiple times without a response. When the owner eventually showed up, they seemed indifferent to my concerns. The room itself had intrusive noise from the pipes, and I felt uncomfortable sharing my card details over the phone without a proper system in place. The lovely aspects of the hotel were overshadowed by these issues.

The continental breakfast was good, with a variety of fresh options.
A full-length mirror in the room would have been very useful for getting ready.
